At Powell Electronics, we remain fully committed to transparency and proactive support in managing the impacts of evolving tariff regulations. As global trade dynamics shift and tariff schedules continue to change, we want to clearly communicate our policy for handling tariff surcharges and how it may affect your orders.
The tariff environment remains highly fluid and is subject to change at any time based on decisions made by the Administration within the U.S. Government. While the amount of surcharge may vary and can change up to the time of shipment, Powell’s process for recovering tariff surcharges remains consistent and unchanged.
Our goal is to minimize the impact to you wherever possible. To support this, our team actively tracks all affected parts on your open orders and works closely with our supplier partners to secure the lowest possible cost of entry. We are requesting and receiving detailed landed costs, including exact tariff amounts. When that detail is available, Powell will pass through only the tariff surcharge, we do not mark up or profit from these surcharges. Unless directed by you, the surcharge is presented separately on your invoice for full transparency.

Regarding Order Quotations
All quotations from Powell Electronics are subject to a Tariff Quote Amendment before order confirmation. It is our intent to always express tariffs fees at the time of quotation, our suppliers continue to revise the list of affected parts, so we reserve the right to requote items to reflect the appropriate tariff value. Confirmations will be issued within 1 to 48 hours. These delays are in support of locating the lowest tariff manufacturing locations and solutions.
We are working closely with vendors to provide real-time updates on tariff statuses, though delays may occur due to supply chain complexities. Our team is committed to supporting you with inquiries and customized solutions during these challenging times.
